About the Founder
Kunal Athreya is an award-winning drummer, a Trinity Grade 8 qualified musician, and the founder of Kunal’s Drum Class (KDC), with over 15 years of experience in teaching and performing drums.
Kunal Athreya, the Founder of Kunal’s Drum Class (KDC), is a passionate drummer and educator with over 15 years of experience in performance and teaching . Known for his structured and quality-driven approach, he has built KDC into a trusted platform where students consistently achieve exceptional results in International Drum Examinations.
An engineering graduate from KJ Somaiya College of Engineering and a JRD Tata Scholar, Kunal began his musical journey with his first drum set through this scholarship. A Distinction holder in Trinity Grades 6, 7, and 8, he has earned recognition both academically and as a performer. His achievements include winning Best Drummer at IIT Bombay’s Mood Indigo, one of India’s most prestigious college festivals, and performing on BBC World, showcasing his talent on an international platform.
